SAVE THE DATE: 2021 Bourbon and Blues Fest

Cedar Ridge announced this morning that it will be hosting its 12th Annual Bourbon and Blues Fest July 2-5 in Swisher, Iowa.

In addition to the free music all day at Cedar Ridge, this year the community event is expanding to include two shows at DanceMor Ballroom in downtown Swisher. Dubbed, “Barn Jams After Dark” will feature Kris Lager Band on Friday, July 2, and Mike Zito & His Big Blues Band AND Kevin Burt on Saturday, July 3.

“With our expansion of stages and locations, we hope to reach out to blues lovers across the Midwest,” said Jamie Siefken, Executive Vice President, and General Manager at Cedar Ridge. “We’ve reached out to some sponsors who are excited to help us grow this festival with us.”

Inaugural sponsors include South Slope, Midwest One, TrueNorth, Performance Foodservice, and Country Inn & Suites.

Bourbon and Blues began in 2010 to celebrate Cedar Ridge’s first release of bourbon in Iowa. The event features the brand’s locally produced spirits and local/regional/national blues musicians highlighting a range of talented artists. Annually, the event draws nearly 8,000 people to Swisher and the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor.

ABOUT CEDAR RIDGE

In 2005, Cedar Ridge became the first licensed distillery in the state of Iowa since Prohibition. Owners Jeff and Laurie Quint aimed to follow a long family tradition of Iowa farmers and distillers, including Jeff’s father and the several generations before him, who produced locally made wines and brandies. Cedar Ridge produces wines from its own estate-grown grapes and crafts its award-winning spirits in four custom-engineered German pot stills. The lush 5,000 vines and 15,000 square foot distillery, tasting room, and event center provide quality wines, spirits, and an exciting entertainment experience for Eastern Iowa.
