Reports to: Director of Sales

We’re looking for a person passionate about selling whiskey and building a network of relationships within the spirit industry.

Position Summary:

As a brand representative your role at Cedar Ridge will reside primarily in the state of IA with travel in key cities and counties. Travel includes but isn’t limited to Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Des Moines, Council Bluffs, Cedar Falls, Waterloo and the Quad Cities. You will work closely with the distillery team and dedicated distributor sales teams to expand our business together by supporting accounts with the tools they need to be successful. Your day to day will include selling to on and off premise accounts to build foundational relationships to secure menus, retail buys and sampling to consumers to support account sell through of existing product and cultivate brand loyalty in your market. You will be an integral part of creating a legacy whiskey in the Midwest.

Ongoing Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Visiting a minimum of 8 accounts per day; both on premise and off premise customers.
    • Execute proper pricing, campaign POS and merchandising of an account in a fair and timely manner.
    • Tracking results of PODS, buys and displays
  • Utilize our CRM platform VIP to:
    • Pre-plan account visits with an agenda, selling purpose, and service opportunities.
    • Track results by capturing commitments, updating goals and completing tasks.
    • Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives through recaps with business partners and potential accounts.
  • Coordinating with local distributor sales representatives to ensure current and future agenda is in line with supporting the right accounts at the right time.

 

Weekly:

  • Performing a minimum of 2 samplings or account activations per week and increase based on account needs.
  • Reporting New weekly PODS, # of samplings and account visits (Karma Recap) to manager.
  • Utilize VIP and Google Calendar to schedule future route and account visits, completed Friday by noon.

 

Monthly:

  • Securing a minimum # of cocktail menus based on monthly goal.
  • Recruiting sampling ambassadors to support accounts with a minimum 2 additional samplings in market per month.
  • Updating the POD target lists and reporting your final results to management
  • Coordinating and participating in sales meetings, on-site trainings, and supplier events as required.
  • Occasional responsibilities include: wine support, managing tasting reps and travel outside the state.

 

 How we measure success:

  • VIP data input and accuracy
  • Account depletions and reorders are within a 60-day window in key accounts.
  • Monthly/Quarterly/Annual revenue goals and case volumes are being consistently met.
  • Spirits-related marketing and communications strategies, campaigns and investments are clearly defined, scheduled and communicated to the manager

Additional Details-

  • Full Time: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends for account events and sampling needs
  • PTO: 10 days yearly pro-rated and available after 60 days of employment
  • 401k after a year of employment
  • Bi Weekly pay
  • Salary + Incentive package
  • Per Diem Allowance
  • Paid Holidays: NYD, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and day after, Xmas Eve and Xmas Day.

Cedar Ridge is seeking hard-working, and enthusiastic individuals to join our growing Hospitality Team as part of our Kitchen Staff. Learn the art of making wood-fired pizzas in our brick oven, grow your skills supporting our banquets and private events, and tap into your passion for culinary arts as an important member of our team.  

No previous kitchen experience is necessary, but a passion to learn (and eat) helps.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in maintaining daily preparation and delivery of Cedar Ridge menu items
  • Maintains a clean kitchen environment during and at the close of a shift
  • Assists in banquets/events when necessary
  • Eagerness to learn more about food preparation and the culinary arts 
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift at least 25lbs regularly
