The Fireside Collective and Big John Hammer & The Rusty Nails

Fresh off of their nationwide tour with Yonder Mountain String Band – The Fireside Collective will make their Iowa debut at Cedar Ridge Monday, January 13th. Joining Fireside Collective for a rare Monday evening concert at Cedar Ridge will be our friends Big John Hammer & The Rusty Nails. Doors open at 5 PM. Show starts at 6 PM.

6:00 – Big John Hammer & The Rusty Nails is Cedar Rapids Iowa’s newest band playing your favorite outlaw and classic country hits, as well as introducing you to some of their favorites and originals too!

8:15 – Fireside Collective, a Progressive Folk band heavily influence by American Roots Music, features strong musicianship, colorful harmonies, and contemporary original music.

Tickets are $10 and include a complimentary cocktail upon arrival.

Zach Stewart, Tasting Room Manager at Cedar Ridge is responsible for booking the live music schedule out at the distillery. Zach said in regards to this rare Monday evening gig, “Iowa is more often than not known as a “fly over state” for national touring and nationally recognized performers. If we (Cedar Ridge) have the opportunity to lure bands off of Interstate-80, and show them what this little world-class distillery in Iowa is all about – and then be able to pair them with one of our favorite new bands in the area? We’re going to go for it.”

Stewart added, “As a local business in The Corridor, Cedar Ridge is one of a few establishments that’s deeply invested in growing the music culture in our area. Iowa is an incredible state, not “fly-over state”. I hope to see more reputable artists begin to buy in, and see what this state of our’s has to offer.”
