Friday Night Music – The Laid Back Band

The Laid Back Band plays a wide variety of upbeat songs for all sorts of venues and occasions.Drawing from R&B, Soul, Funk, Blues, the Classic Rock songbooks, LBB keeps the groove moving with special attention given to tunes by great female vocalists. Surprise is always on tap, so you may hear a song from several generations back or the occasional nod to a top 40 hit.Featuring Wendy Fowler on lead vocals, she is also the master of ceremonies engaging the audience with lively banter. Jess Toomsen holds down the low end on bass and high harmonies on vocals. Phil (aka Chip Reed) Thompson keeps things interesting on saxophone. Dick Budde handles the beat on drums specializing in rocking cowbell. Dan Tabaka finger paints sounds with his collection of colorful guitars. You may find some of the LBB members as guests/regulars in other bands and you might hear LBB jamming with other like minded musicians in the area. Requests and dancers are always welcome, although it might take a few gigs (or years) for them to be heard or seen. Come out and hear what the buzz is all about!!
