SWISHER, IA (June 13, 2022) – Cedar Ridge Distillery’s American Single Malt Whiskey – The QuintEssential – took home Double Gold and Best of Category at the Spring 2022 John Barleycorn Awards. The award marks the second year in which the American Single Malt Whiskey has taken best in Category at the competition.
John Barleycorn Awards honors the innovative distillers, writers, marketers, and designers who cultivate the fertile traditions of the spirits industry. Both judging panels give each of their entries a score based on 100 points. Scores of 95-100 are Double Gold Winners, 90-94 are Gold Winners, 80-89 are Silver Winners, and 79-60 is an Honorable Mention. There may be multiple winners or no winners in a category.

Cedar Ridge’s Double Barrel Bourbon Release 001 received a Double Gold in the Category of Special Barrel Finished Straight Bourbon. Cedar Ridge’s Single Barrel Collection (S.B.C.) Barrel 16.430 at 122.2 proof took home a Gold in the Single Barrel Category.
